MPs must act on essential freedoms before the election!

The Prime Minister has promised protections,

the ALP’s National Platform supports protections,

two Parliamentary committees have recommended these protections …

… we need to ensure we get these protections.

Tell our MPs to pass the Religious Discrimination Bill!

Protections against religious discrimination are the clear gap in Commonwealth discrimination protections – and are long overdue.

The Parliament has botched an attempt to pass this legislation this week by linking it to amendments to the Sex Discrimination Act that have significant unintended consequences.

We need strong protections to ensure people of faith can continue to live out their beliefs.

We need strong protections to ensure that religious schools can continue to employ staff who share their beliefs.

We need strong protections to ensure that the values of our religious bodies, including schools, are not eroded.

You need to take action NOW to ensure this occurs!

The only way this legislation can be passed before the next Federal election is for the Government and Opposition to work earnestly together to ensure this legislation is passed.

Please use the form below to contact your Federal member to ask them to work collaboratively to pass the Religious Discrimination Bill before the next election. Even if you have sent an email before, this is an updated email.
